Ophthalmic Equipment

We have specialist equipment to allow more detailed evaluation of ophthalmic conditions. These include a Tonopen, which allows accurate measurement of eye pressure in a conscious patient for conditions such as glaucoma or uveitis.

Our Corneal Burr is used in the treatment of unresponsive eye ulcers to remove unhealthy tissue, and we have a range of specialist surgical instruments specific for occular (eye) surgery.

The Slit Lamp allows detailed visualisation of occular structures such as the lens and cornea which is not possible with a conventional ophthalmoscope.

If you would like to arrange an appointment with Catriona, we offer double appointments to ensure a detailed examination is possible. You will need to contact us by phone on 01273 495227 to book an appointment, as they are not available online. You can also make enquiries by emailing us - reception@hawthornvets.co.uk
