FREE Arthritis clinics are back!

Free Arthritis Clinics

We are again offering FREE arthritis clinics for with our Veterinary Nurse, Faye Hurdman. Faye has been a qualified RVN for over 20 years and has completed the British Small Animal Veterinary Association merit award in Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy. Alongside assessing mobility and signs of arthritis, Faye can also tailor a physiotherapy plan for your pet.

Arthritis is very common in pets as they get older or for those who have suffered from joint injuries at a younger age and while symptoms such as lameness, stiffness and reluctance to go on walks can be obvious; other pets display much more subtle changes. For example licking at specific joints, coat changes, aggression, panting, and weight gain can all be secondary to arthritis and joint pain.

Our Free arthritis clinics begin with a thorough history and assessment of your pet. We’ll discuss everything from bedding to bathing and assess weight, size and mobility.

We’ll then be able to recommend the appropriate management for your pet and can advise on many options such as:

  • Joint supplements
  • Acupuncture
  • Hydrotherapy
  • Physiotherapy
  • Pain relief
  • Massage

Additionally, we can assess your pet’s pain score, mobility and progression so that we can review how well he/she is responding.

If your pet is showing any of the above signs, it’s well worth getting them assessed. Arthritis Clinics take place at PARTRIDGE GREEN on Thursday between 9.30 and 1pm.  You can get in touch via phone or email to book.
