This weekend, Fabian and Dani Kaelin took part in the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge with some other members of the Henfield Joggers. The Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks in the UK in under 24 hours - including travel time between each one! They began their journey, leaving Henfield on Saturday morning and begun the ascent of Ben Nevis in Scotland on Sunday at 5pm. They then progressed to Scafell Pike in the Lake District before finishing at the top of Mount Snowdon in Wales. The trek took a total of 21 hours They all have some very achey legs to show for it, but have posted a very impressive time and the group have raised over £1000 for a local dementia charity.
At the other end of the country, Sue Bradford our longest serving member of staff was taking part in the 54 mile London to Brighton bike ride. With over 29,000 participants, she reports it was a bit hectic at times but she managed to complete the course in a respectable 7 hours including the very steep ditchling beacon. Sue has raised £300 individually for the British Heart Foundation.
