Exotic Pets at Hawthorn Vets
Jessica Siantonas has a specific interest in treating exotic pets such as birds and reptiles as well as rabbits and other small mammals.
Finding a vet comfortable with unique animals can be tricky. At Hawthorn Vets, we are happy to see exotic pets such as birds, reptiles, rabbits, and other small mammals. Our veterinary surgeon, Jessica Siantonas, has a keen interest in exotic medicine. She qualified in 2011 and holds a degree in Zoology, giving her a foundational understanding of the husbandry and needs of unusual species. Jess has built up a large amount of experience during her career as a
veterinary surgeon and is more than happy to see many exotic pets for
anything from a health check to an illness. Hawthorn Vets is also
equipped with a vivarium which allows us to hospitalise exotic pets.
Please note, that while Jess has an interest in exotic pets and is happy to see species that many general practitioners are not, she is not a specialist and there are limits to the service that she can provide.
